More Than A Luxury…The Lifelong Value of Massage Therapy
Massage therapy can help you keep your body healthy and able to meet the stresses of your life. Through increasing circulation and relaxing the muscles massage helps the body to pump more oxygen and nutrients into tissues and vital organs, assisting the body in staying at peek condition. If you find your body is declining in its ability or if there has been an injury massage therapy allows the your body to heal at an accelerated rate as well as prevent future injuries, especially if you are in a physically active job or sport. The therapists at The BodyWorks incorporate several different therapy methods to assist in accelerating the natural healing process ultimately decreasing pain in muscle tissue and bringing more range of motion in the joints.
Each client is treated according to what is needed to meet the client’s personal goals. In some cases, deep work is required to release muscles that may be in spasm several layers down. In others, extremely light work may be indicated to decrease central nervous system activity first, and then a follow up of moderate work may be needed. Combined with therapeutic stretches and light to moderate exercise retraining, therapeutic massage and corrective muscle therapy is an effective way to promote better musculoskeletal function.
